Rob Witte

I work for IBM Global Services as an IT Architect, providing global  solutions for Strategic Outsourcing and eBusiness Hosting customers across a wide variety of technologies. 

My personal technology interests lean strongly toward wireless and mobility.  Although I have a well-equipped home office, you'll often find me working from my RV, a nearby Starbucks, or any scenic area with good Sprint PCS coverage (for my EVDO card) or free wi-fi.  My current passion is VoIP, with Microsoft Live Communications Server, Skype and Gizmo being my current favorite technologies (though by the time I update this page again, those products may be considered "so last quarter" ... or maybe not).

In my spare time I enjoy cooking, brewing (mostly coffee and beer, but occasionally some other interesting things), camping, and Geocaching.

My best friend Ben and I have traveled quite a bit for IBM ... so much in the early days that we became known as the geeks on tour.  On one trip to Houston, we became known as the "Geeks in Space".  Here's why...
